RENOVATION GUIDES

Privacy Policy

Explore expert renovation guides, cost insights, planning advice and practical tips to help you make better decisions at every stage of your project.

This policy explains how Aurenoo collects, uses, stores and shares personal information through www.aurenoo.com, renovation tools, PDF-download forms, newsletters, contractor listings, Google/display advertisements, sponsored posts, payments and any authorised contractor-referral service we make available. It separates contact and selected project fields you authorise for a referral from private quote-comparison content. It applies to the features actually offered and does not activate a future service or authorise every recipient to access every type of information.

Aurenoo is an online information, advertising and referral platform operated from India. References to ‘Aurenoo’, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ mean the legal person or entity operating www.aurenoo.com. This policy covers the www and non-www website addresses. We serve people and businesses interested in Australian renovation. Information submitted to our systems can be accessed and processed in India; other relevant processing locations are described below.

Separate choices: we use details to provide the report or service you request. An optional newsletter subscription can authorise Aurenoo email updates; a separate optional contractor-contact choice can authorise the specified contact/project fields to go to multiple participating contractors within the disclosed scope. Neither choice authorises sharing any PDF report file, uploaded quotation, private comparison input, extracted text, quote price, analysis or comparison result. Merely submitting information, paying, accepting policies or downloading is not blanket consent.

Contact and responsibility

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact our Privacy and Grievance Contact:

Contact: Aurenoo Privacy and Grievance Contact

Email: hello@aurenoo.com

Location: India

We handle personal information in accordance with laws applicable to our activities, including relevant Australian requirements and Indian provisions as and when they apply. This policy does not waive privacy or consumer rights, assume an exemption or make provisions apply before their legal commencement. Contacting us about privacy or withdrawing permission does not require a paid account or contractor login. Email is a convenient route, not an exclusive prerequisite where the law permits another valid request method.

Information we collect

The information collected depends on the features you use. It may include:

  • Identity and contact details, such as your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Project and tool information, such as city, suburb, postcode, renovation category, property type, dimensions, budget, preferred timeframe and work descriptions. Information used to calculate a result is not automatically information authorised for a contractor referral.
  • Comparison content you choose to submit: quotes, attachments, manually entered quote details, extracted text, contractor-specific prices and terms, analysis, scores, comparison results and generated comparison PDFs. This can contain other people’s personal or confidential information and is subject to the stricter restrictions below.
  • Calculator inputs, generated results and report requests, where the relevant feature sends or saves them to our systems.
  • Contractor information, such as business and contact names, service areas, categories, public contact details, website, registration or licence details, listing materials and package enquiries.
  • Communications, support requests, complaints, newsletter preferences and proportionate records of separate consents, including the form/notice version, selections, time, purpose, authorised fields, recipients or recipient scope, channels, relevant enquiry period, withdrawals and unsubscribe/suppression records.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location inferred from an IP address, timestamps, cookies and interactions with forms, advertisements and listing links. This category does not authorise recording comparison contents or private form-field values in advertising or analytics systems.
  • Billing and transaction information for paid services, such as payer name, business details, billing information, service purchased, amount, currency, invoice, transaction reference, payment status and bank transfer confirmation. Online payment providers may collect additional information directly through their payment pages. Do not send us card security codes, online banking passwords or unnecessary bank statement details.

We do not ask for health records, identity document numbers, financial account credentials or other unnecessary sensitive information for a report or renovation referral. Remove unnecessary personal, confidential and third-party information from uploads. Submit another person’s information only with the necessary authority and any required consent, and explain the intended use to them. Do not enter somebody else’s contact details to arrange unsolicited marketing.

How information reaches us

We collect information directly when you complete a form, use a feature that submits data, upload a document, request a report, contact us or ask to list or advertise a business. Technical information can be collected automatically through our website and enabled service providers.

Contractors may tell us whether an authorised enquiry was received, whether they made contact or whether referral information needs correcting. We use this feedback to manage the referral and resolve problems. We do not authorise contractors to send us private comparison content, unnecessary documents or details of your private negotiations.

We may also obtain contractor business information from publicly available sources or authorised third parties for directory and enquiry administration. Business contact information can include personal information, particularly for sole traders. Contact us to request correction or information about its source.

You can generally read public content without giving your name. A pseudonym may be used for a general enquiry where practical. A form identifies the information needed for its stated service and which fields are optional. An email address may be needed for email delivery. A telephone number is used for an expressly requested contact purpose and is not required solely to download a report. Choosing not to request contractor contact does not prevent the report-only download. Without the details necessary for a referral, we cannot arrange that referral.

Why we use information

We use relevant information to operate the feature you request, calculate estimates, generate and deliver reports, respond to enquiries and provide support. We also administer contractor listings, advertising and payments, investigate misuse, maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations. Ordinary usage statistics can help assess and improve the website. The general purposes in this paragraph do not permit commercial reuse, model training or advertising use of comparison content.

Only when you separately choose contractor contact do we use the authorised referral fields to select participating contractors and pass on that enquiry. Report delivery, contractor contact and general Aurenoo promotions are distinct purposes. We do not treat a website visit, acceptance of Terms, an uploaded quote, a telephone-number field or a download button as blanket permission for referrals or marketing.

Where you separately subscribe, we use your name, email address and preferences you choose to give us to send Aurenoo newsletters about Australian renovation, our articles and tools, and identified sponsored or promotional content. A newsletter choice is not contractor-contact permission, and a contractor-contact choice is not a newsletter subscription. A request for support or a payment record is not permission for either purpose.

Contractor contact through PDF-download consent

The PDF-download form may offer an optional, initially unticked contractor-contact selection. When you actively choose it, we may share your name, telephone number and email address together with the calculator/project-search details for that specific report request that are displayed for referral and expressly covered by your consent. These may include the tool/report type, chosen renovation category, city/suburb/postcode and a short project brief. A project size, budget, timeframe or Aurenoo calculator estimate is included only when separately displayed as a referral field and expressly covered by your consent. A separate quote-request form, if offered, requires its own specific consent.

‘Project-search details’ does not mean your general browsing or search history, other calculator sessions, hidden inputs, document metadata, private quote prices or any material derived from a comparison. Fields taken from the page you were viewing must be shown so you can confirm or correct them before referral consent. Merely possessing information does not authorise us to add it to a lead.

Before you opt in, the form shows the proposed recipients or a clearly defined class of participating renovation contractors serving your selected Australian location and renovation category, the maximum recipient number, exact fields to be shared, permitted contact channels and enquiry/contact period. Within that disclosed scope, the same enquiry may go to multiple contractors, including competing providers, and is not exclusive. A general reference to ‘partners’ or ‘many contractors’ alone is not a substitute for that notice. We do not share while the intended scope is missing or unclear. Matching may depend on location, category, availability and participation; no particular number of responses is guaranteed.

Participating contractors may pay Aurenoo for access to the authorised enquiry, individually or through a package, listing or other disclosed commercial arrangement. Where paid access is involved, this is a commercial referral and can involve selling access to the contact and enquiry fields you expressly authorise. Payment does not buy unrestricted use, onward-sale rights, access to other homeowners or access to any comparison content. Premium status or sponsorship does not mean a contractor is the best option for you.

Recipients may contact you only through the channels you authorise, such as telephone, SMS or email, to discuss the stated renovation, arrange a visit and provide or follow up a quote within the stated enquiry/contact period. The permission does not extend to unrelated offers, indefinite promotions, another renovation project or onward sale. We stop relying on it when it expires, is withdrawn or no longer reflects the active enquiry. New recipients or uses beyond the agreed scope require fresh permission.

No PDF report files or comparison content are included in contractor referrals. Uploaded quotes, attachments, extracted text, manually entered quote information, quoted prices, contractor-specific terms, analysis, scores and generated comparison PDFs remain excluded from all contractor, sponsor, advertiser and lead-buyer access. Neither a referral checkbox nor a broader commercial order overrides this restriction. We do not publish homeowner contact information or private project documents in the directory.

Contractors must accept the relevant data-use restrictions before receiving a lead and use it only for the authorised enquiry. They must protect it, respect withdrawals and comply with applicable privacy, spam and telemarketing rules. They must not resell, publish or pass it to another business, or add it to unrelated marketing lists. Each recipient is independently responsible for its own contact, quotations, negotiations and subsequent handling; we do not supervise every communication or guarantee that misuse cannot occur. We remain responsible for our own collection, disclosure, handling commitments and legally required response to reported misuse. You can ask which contractors received your enquiry.

An authorised Aurenoo administrator may review enquiries, select records and prepare an access-controlled referral export, including a lead-summary file. A lead-summary file is not your calculator or quote-comparison PDF: it contains only the form fields authorised for the referral. A batch contains only enquiries that the receiving contractor is authorised to receive. We do not include comparison content in spreadsheets, PDFs, email attachments, public links or any other contractor delivery route.

We retain proportionate records showing the consent notice and version, your selections and when they were made, the recipients and delivery dates, and later withdrawals or restrictions. Minimum evidence of permitted contact may be supplied to a receiving contractor where necessary for lawful referral handling. We do not give contractors access to your other tool activity or comparison history. A saved consent record does not authorise a broader purpose.

Future referral services do not create permission to use a historical report-download list. When referrals are not yet offered, the form must say so rather than imply an immediate introduction. Before any later sharing, we check that the purpose, recipients, contact period and permission remain current. If they do not, fresh specific permission is required. A policy update, newsletter subscription or contractor payment does not revive an expired or withdrawn enquiry. We do not use prohibited marketing messages to obtain that new permission.

Calculators and PDF downloads

Using a calculator, comparing quotes or requesting a PDF does not, by itself, authorise lead sharing. The report-delivery notice explains the contact details collected for that purpose. Contractor contact is a separate, optional, unticked selection on the same form, not an automatic condition of a report-only download. Declining it means we do not send your details to contractors. General Aurenoo marketing is not bundled into either selection.

Private quote comparisons and restricted processing

Comparison content is used only to provide your requested analysis and result, address support you request, secure the service and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell, publish, license or disclose it to contractors, lead buyers, advertisers or other businesses for their use. We do not use it to train AI models, build commercial datasets or price databases, target advertisements or market your project. The prohibition includes derived comparison data, not only the original PDF.

A comparison may operate in your browser or use restricted Aurenoo systems as explained in the feature’s collection notice. This policy does not claim that every file stays only on your device. Information processed entirely on your device and not transmitted to us is not collected by Aurenoo. Where a feature sends content to our systems, its notice explains that processing and relevant temporary storage.

We do not transmit comparison content to an external AI model, document-analysis service or text-extraction API. Essential hosting, storage or security infrastructure may handle it only on our behalf as needed to operate the requested feature, under restricted access and confidentiality obligations and without an independent right to use it. Such processing is not a contractor referral. General advertising, analytics and lead-delivery providers are not authorised to receive comparison content.

Within Aurenoo, access to comparison content is limited to authorised people who need it for the requested feature, support you ask for, a specific security issue or a legal obligation. It is not available to contractors or used by administrators to enrich leads. Any compelled external disclosure is limited as set out under Other people who receive information.

You control whether to download and independently send your own copy to an adviser or contractor, subject to the rights of others in the material. Your own disclosure is separate from Aurenoo’s handling. Automated results can be inaccurate; our Terms and Disclaimer explain why you should check them against the original quote.

Other people who receive information

For ordinary website, form, listing and transaction information, service providers may support hosting, administration, storage, email delivery, analytics, advertising, payments and security. Access is limited to the information needed for the relevant task and applicable requirements. These categories do not give every provider access to all information. In particular, comparison content remains subject to the stricter restrictions above; a general reference to service providers is not permission to send it to an external analysis, marketing or lead platform.

For information other than comparison content, we may make necessary and lawful disclosures to professional advisers, insurers, courts, regulators or law enforcement, including for legal process or fraud investigations. Comparison content is not included in routine voluntary disclosures to those recipients. Where a law or binding legal process requires particular comparison content to be disclosed, we provide only what is required and seek appropriate confidentiality protections where available. Nothing in this policy promises to ignore a lawful compulsory demand.

If business ownership changes, ordinary business records may be transferred with appropriate safeguards and notices where legally permitted. This does not expand the original purposes or permit unrelated marketing. Comparison content is excluded from prospective-buyer access and separate data-asset sales. Listing details chosen for publication remain distinct from private homeowner records.

Contractor listing details selected for publication, including business contact information, are public and can be indexed by search engines or copied by others. Private registration or billing information is not automatically public.

Cookies, Google advertising and embedded services

Our website can use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies for essential functions, preferences, security, measurement and advertising. The technologies used depend on the features enabled and your applicable choices. Embedded content and advertisements can communicate with their provider when loaded, even without a click. We do not send comparison content, private form-field values or report-download contact lists to advertising audiences, tracking pixels or session-recording services.

Aurenoo uses Google advertising and may use other advertising vendors or networks. Where Google AdSense or related advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this website and/or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads using those visits. Personalised advertising and measurement may use online identifiers and browsing activity. Turning off personalisation does not necessarily remove all advertisements or essential storage. Other enabled vendors and their relevant privacy/choice links are identified in the applicable website advertising or consent notice.

You can manage Google advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center and learn how Google handles information from partner websites through Google partner site information. Google’s Privacy Policy explains its own processing.

You can also use your browser controls to restrict or delete cookies and any consent or privacy settings offered on our website. Where prior consent is required, nonessential technologies are activated only after that consent. Blocking storage may affect some features. Advertising choices do not replace the separate consent required for contractor lead sharing.

Cookies can last for a browsing session or remain for a longer period, depending on their purpose and the provider’s settings. Third party providers can change their technologies and retention settings. You can review available provider controls and contact hello@aurenoo.com for information about a particular feature or privacy setting.

Where a payment provider, advertising vendor or embedded service collects information independently through its own service, its privacy notice also applies to that collection. We disclose relevant providers and consent choices with the feature where required. These notices do not override restrictions we place on our own disclosure of personal information.

A sponsored article or premium listing is a commercial placement, not a separate permission to receive private visitor information. A sponsor or listed business receives a homeowner’s contact/enquiry details from Aurenoo only through the specific referral process above. Ordinary ad measurement and public listing interactions remain distinct from consent to disclose a named homeowner’s project. No comparison content is supplied to Google, advertising partners or sponsors for their use.

Online payments and bank transfers

At the date of this version, paid Aurenoo services are arranged offline, normally by bank transfer or another method expressly accepted in the written order. We and our bank may receive the payer name, payment reference, amount, date and details shown in the transfer record. We use relevant information for the order, reconciliation, invoicing, fraud checks and required records. Do not send passwords or an unredacted statement containing unrelated transactions.

We may introduce online payment options, add or replace a provider, or offer offline and online methods together. Before an online option is used, the relevant collection notice identifies the payment provider, relevant information handling and its privacy notice. Only information reasonably needed for the chosen transaction and related administration is provided. An earlier offline payment is not consent to store a card, create a recurring authority or send historical payer lists to a new provider for unrelated uses.

Where an offered online provider collects card or account credentials through its payment page, it processes those details under its own terms and privacy notice. Aurenoo may receive billing information, transaction identifiers, payment status, limited payment-method information and records needed to reconcile the order, handle refunds and investigate fraud. The specific method’s notice explains whether payment fields are handled by that provider; this policy does not claim that every future payment system has the same configuration.

Payment information is used to process and administer your purchase, maintain records, manage disputes and meet applicable obligations. Buying a service does not itself authorise unrelated marketing. Aurenoo does not need your online banking password or a card security code sent by email. Redact unrelated transactions if you provide proof of payment.

International handling

Our operator accesses and processes information submitted to our systems in India. Authorised Australian renovation referrals are sent to participating contractors serving the relevant Australian location. Online payment, advertising, hosting and other infrastructure providers can process relevant information in additional countries through their international operations. Relevant provider information is supplied with the feature or in its privacy information, including the Google information linked above. We identify additional likely overseas recipient countries in notices where practicable and required. Contact us about the providers and locations relevant to a particular feature. Laws and government-access powers may differ between countries.

We apply the safeguards required by applicable law to international handling, including reasonable assessment of providers and appropriate restrictions on their use of information. Merely using the website, downloading a PDF or accepting Terms does not waive obligations or rights concerning overseas disclosures. The international nature of the website does not override the restrictions on comparison content.

Newsletters, service messages and withdrawal

Aurenoo newsletters are optional and may contain renovation tips, articles, tool updates and clearly identified sponsored or promotional material. We ask for a separate, initially unticked subscription choice or an equivalent specific signup. We use your name, email address and any relevant preferences you knowingly supply. We do not add you merely because you request a report, submit a contact form, purchase a listing or supply a phone number. We do not sell the subscriber list or give it to sponsors or contractors for their own marketing. Any promotional SMS or calls need their own disclosed and lawful permission; email signup alone does not provide it.

A service provider may process the minimum subscriber information needed to send or administer Aurenoo’s newsletter on our behalf, under appropriate handling restrictions. Comparison content is never used for newsletter targeting, advertising or contact-list enrichment. Necessary report-delivery, order, security, legal and material policy/service notices are distinct from newsletters and may be sent where appropriate without a marketing subscription. They are not used to disguise promotional content or avoid applicable marketing rules.

Our electronic marketing identifies Aurenoo and contains a clear, free and easy unsubscribe method that remains functional for at least 30 days after the message is sent. We act on electronic-marketing opt-outs within five working days, or sooner where required. You do not have to pay, provide extra identification, log in or create an account to unsubscribe. You may use the message facility or email hello@aurenoo.com. We also act on other valid withdrawal methods, including an instruction to stop marketing calls. The routine three-month change-request window never applies to an opt-out.

You may withdraw permission for future lead sharing or contractor contact by emailing hello@aurenoo.com or using another valid withdrawal route. We stop further sharing based on that permission promptly and notify contractors already sent the enquiry to stop the contact covered by your withdrawal. You may also contact the contractor directly. We cannot automatically retrieve a copy already lawfully delivered, but require appropriate deletion or restriction when no longer needed, subject to legal retention duties. Limited consent or suppression records may be kept to demonstrate your choice and prevent further contact; they do not permit continued marketing. Withdrawing all marketing/referral permissions covers both newsletter and referral purposes; we do not require separate requests when your instruction is clear.

Retention and security

We retain different categories of information according to the purpose for which they were collected, the service requested, the enquiry period, the need to demonstrate consent, applicable record-keeping duties and a reasonably anticipated or ongoing dispute. We do not keep an inactive enquiry available for indefinite lead selling. Retaining a record for a legal reason does not extend permission to contact or share.

Where comparison content reaches our systems, we keep it only for the period reasonably needed for the requested processing, result delivery, requested support, security handling or a specific legal retention requirement. We assess original files, extracted text, generated outputs, temporary files and controlled copies together; the quote-comparison service is not a permanent document archive. Comparison content is not retained as a marketing or training resource. General operational logs are not intended to contain its text or document contents.

When information is no longer needed and lawful retention duties do not apply, we take reasonable steps to delete it securely or, for appropriate ordinary usage records, deidentify it. We do not rely on deidentification to repurpose comparison content contrary to this policy. Payment records may need longer accounting, tax or legal retention; limited consent and suppression records may be retained to demonstrate choices. Backup copies follow the applicable backup cycle with access restrictions and are not used to restart withdrawn referrals. You can ask about relevant retention or request deletion where available.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information against misuse, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. Access is limited by function; contractor exports are restricted to authorised referral fields rather than comparison records. No online system, download, email route or independent recipient can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive material, share private report links publicly or disclose passwords. We assess reported or suspected incidents, take appropriate containment and remedial steps, and notify affected people or authorities where legally required. A security warning is not a waiver of our handling promises or mandatory security and breach-response duties.

Access, correction, deletion and complaints

Contact us to request access to information we hold about you, correction of an error, deletion where available, withdrawal of consent or information about a disclosure. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity; do not send identification documents unless we explain why they are necessary. You may ask us to identify recipients of your enquiry and, where relevant, the source from which we obtained your contact details.

We aim to respond substantively to access, correction and deletion requests within 30 calendar days and comply with any shorter or otherwise applicable deadline. Where the law requires action within a reasonable period, we assess the circumstances rather than automatically using the whole period. We may explain proportionate verification or a lawful retention restriction, but do not use it to delay a request improperly. If we cannot fulfil a request, we explain the reason and available complaint options. Rights depend on the applicable law and are not narrowed by this policy.

For a complaint, describe what happened and the outcome you seek. We investigate and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. You may complain to a competent privacy or consumer authority and pursue available legal remedies. Where Australian privacy law applies, information about escalation is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. You may also approach the competent Indian authority where it has jurisdiction under provisions in force at that time. Our Terms do not require privacy complaints to be brought exclusively in Ahmedabad or limit regulatory powers.

The four core protection clauses and conditional AUD 50 limit in our Terms address eligible free-information and planning-tool claims. They do not waive or cap mandatory privacy obligations, legally required remedies or regulatory powers, and do not prevent a privacy complaint or lawful claim. Consenting to a referral authorises only the described handling; it does not release Aurenoo or a contractor from responsibility for unlawful handling. Neither accepting a policy nor describing the website as informational creates immunity for its operator.

Email change requests and the three-month limit

Email hello@aurenoo.com for ordinary suggestions about wording, design, optional features or other non-urgent discretionary updates. The Terms allow up to three calendar months from receipt of reasonably necessary details to review those suggestions and provide a decision or agreed update schedule. Adoption remains within Aurenoo’s lawful editorial and operational discretion.

That routine window does not govern requests to access, correct or delete personal information, consent withdrawal, marketing opt-outs, security incidents, privacy complaints, unlawful disclosure, paid-service remedies or legal deadlines. Those are handled under the relevant sections and applicable law. You do not have to wait three months before making a lawful complaint or seeking relief, and emailing is not the only way to make a request where another method must be accepted. An incorrect personal record does not become a discretionary editorial suggestion merely because it appears in a listing or report.

Children

Report forms, contractor-contact requests, business registrations and paid services are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information for those services. Contact us if a child has submitted information so we can investigate and remove or restrict it where appropriate.

Reserved right to update this policy

Aurenoo reserves the right to revise or replace this policy for lawful changes to services, technology, providers, security practices or legal requirements. We retain discretion over ordinary editorial and operational decisions, not power to decide your legal rights conclusively. Revised versions show their revision date/version and apply prospectively from a stated effective date or, if none is stated, publication, subject to required notice, existing commitments and fresh consent where required.

For material changes affecting an ongoing information-handling or service relationship, we send an email to the current address supplied where we hold one and can lawfully use it, and publish an appropriate website or service notice. We cannot email unidentified visitors. Necessary notices do not subscribe you to marketing. We provide reasonable advance notice where required; urgent legal, security or safety action may occur sooner with notice when practicable. The three-month review window for suggestions is not permission to postpone a required privacy change or notice. A new optional online payment method is explained before you use it and does not itself expand earlier marketing or referral consent.

A policy change does not retrospectively turn report-only information into a lead, expand the recipients or purposes of an earlier consent, cancel an opt-out, or authorise onward sale. Existing comparison content is not repurposed, sold or included in contractor referrals through a later policy update. An ‘all rights reserved’ statement concerns rights Aurenoo actually holds; it is not ownership of your personal information or permission to disregard this policy. Continued browsing alone is not consent to a new referral purpose or waiver of accrued rights.
